The status of Uber drivers questioned – Le Point, March 6, 2020

Partner Myriam de Gaudusson weighs in on the decision of the Cour de Cassation (France’s highest court) reclassifying the contractual relationship between Uber and one of its drivers as an employment contract.

“Uber must treat its drivers as employees, in terms of compensation and benefits. They are in a strong position to resist any attempt by Uber to treat them as independent workers in complete disregard of the criteria used by the Cour de Cassation.”
